Fairview Mountain Golf Club is proud to provide for its membership and paid guests, one of the best 'short game facilities' in the Okanagan. Co-Designed by Course Superintendent, Art Riome and GM/Director of Golf, Brian McDonald this truly is a spectacular practice facility. Covering 3 acres and located just next to the 1st tee, FMGC's short game facility consists of 3 large grass tee decks, a 12,000 square foot pitching green, a second chipping green surrounded by multiple cuts of grass including a tightly shaved approach and ankle deep fescue. Further to this, the short game facility is enhanced by multiple types of bunkers offering all golfers the opportunity to work on bunker shots anywhere from the tough 50 yard mid bunker shot to the dreaded greenside pot bunker flop. This facility offers both the serious and casual player a peaceful environment to work on their short game or simply warm up for the round that lies ahead. As the short game makes up nearly 70% of shots taken by the average amateur in a round of golf, it only makes sense to offer those who love golf as much as we do at FMGC the right environment to improve.
We all know everyone loves to 'grip it and rip it' so at FMGC we also offer a 10 stall driving range for those golfers looking to work on their long games. Our driving range allows for every club in the bag to be hit, including everyone's favorite, the driver. We supply Pinnacle range balls at both the driving range and short game facility which come included with daily green fees and are provided for FMGC members within their annual dues.
Finally, we can't forget the putting. As our golf course's main defense is the putting surfaces which reach speeds of 13 on the stimp meter during the peak season we offer a beautiful 14,000 square foot putting green for those looking to prepare for what lies ahead on the golf course.
